Dimensions: Seat height 19"; seat depth 31 1/2"; standard length 59" – note that we can supply to any length. 

Frame: 2mm/.1 inch-thick powder coated mild steel, dimensions 1 1/8" by 1 1/8" box section. We offer a full range of colors, alongside our standard silver-grey option. 
 

Slats: Our standard choice is 1 inch-thick solid beech from sustainably sourced woodland. For wet areas, particularly chlorinated environments such as swimming pools, we recommend compact-grade laminate slats. This is more expensive than solid beech, but won't warp or distort. Again, we can supply it in a range of colors. 
 

Suitable Wall Types: The bench is free standing, so can be used with any types of wall. 


Additional Options 
This bench is also available without coat hooks - as our CS3000 free standing bench - and with shoe trays. For wet environments, mild steel can be pre-treated with an electro zinc coating prior to painting. 


Why choose this product? 
This CS6000 double sided bench with safety pegs is designed as an island bench. This makes it an ideal choice where wall space is limited. The integral hook rail means that a wall is not necessary to provide separate hanging space. To give the bench improved rigidity, each leg comes with a concealed floor fixing, which is removable if not required. 

The seating can be mixed with the wall mounted CS4000 or free standing CS5000 single sided bench. The third thumbnail image shows how these options can be combined to maximise space. Where, for example, changing room benches are required in square rooms, this is the ideal option to prevent a large dead space in the center. 

One advantage of using an established company like AJ Binns is that you have the benefit of our years of experience. This is illustrated in the fourth image, which shows a changing room where the run of island benches was particularly long. We were keen to give our client a robust product, although there was no wall support at one end. This isn’t a problem for an average run, but this case was exceptional. Our designer worked with the client, and decided to use a box support of 1 1/5" by 1 1/2" rather than the standard 1 1/8" by 1 1/8". This gave a rigid base onto which the beech slats were fitted. The CS6000 uses our special safety pegs on the integral hook rail. Changing rooms often feature exuberant post-match celebrations for the winning team, and this helps to prevent a salutary ending to the day.
