Dimensions: Seat height 19"; seat depth 15 3/4"; standard length 59"– note that we can supply to any length. 
 

Frame: 2mm/.1 inch-thick powder coated mild steel, dimensions 1 1/8" by 1 1/8" box section. We offer a full range of colors, alongside our standard silver-grey option. 
 

Slats: Our standard choice is 1 inch-thick solid beech from sustainably sourced woodland. For wet areas, particularly chlorinated environments such as swimming pools, we recommend compact-grade laminate slats. This is more expensive than solid beech, but won't warp or distort. Again, we can supply it in a range of colors. 
 

Suitable Wall Types: The bench is free standing, so can be used with any types of wall. 


Additional Options 
This bench is also available without coat hooks - as our CS1000 wall mounted bench- and with shoe trays. For wet environments, mild steel can be pre-treated with an electro zinc coating prior to painting. 


Why choose this product? 
This CS5000 single sided bench with safety hooks can be used against a wall or as a free standing bench in the middle of a room. This means it can be used as a room divider when necessary. To give the bench improved rigidity, each leg comes with a concealed floor fixing, which is removable if not required. 

The safety hooks are specifically designed to eliminate problems associated with having protruding hooks in highly trafficked areas. The reverse hooks sit behind a protective shield.  This is also a safety feature in benches for schools, where pupils often have only a short time to get changed before the next lesson. Accidents can happen, and the safety hooks remove one potential source of trouble. AJ Binns also sells its renowned safety hooks separately. 

The CS5000 seats are popular as changing room benches in pavilions and swimming pools, for example. In particularly wet areas, we recommend the laminate option, which can withstand damp. In swimming pool areas, where chlorine is used to kill germs, this can be particularly corrosive to furniture. For our Calibre products, our metal supports can be electro zinc plated (EZP) then powder coated with a protective film. This means that they are designed to last, and as with all our benches for schools and elsewhere, we are delighted to offer a five-year guarantee.
